Read the following topic and write a thesis statement for developing a five-paragraph essay.

Topic: The following appeared in the opinion column of a financial magazine. “On average, middle-aged consumers devote 39 percent of their retail expenditure to department store products and services, while for younger consumers the average is only 25 percent. Since the number of middle-aged people will increase dramatically within the next decade, department stores can expect retail sales to increase significantly during that period. Furthermore, to take advantage of the trend, these stores should begin to replace some of those products intended to advantage of the trend, these stores should begin to replace some of those products intended to attract the younger consumer with products intended to attract the middle-aged consumer.”


Thesis Statement:
Department store is a good shopping place but products are somehow expensive, prime cost is higher and fewer foodstuffs.

Summary of a Full Box of Kisses

Some time ago a man was angry and punished his three-year-old daughter for wasting due to decorate a gift box. Next morning the girl give the gift to her father but he angry again when he saw nothing in this box. He scolds the girl but the girl said to her father with tears that it is full of kisses in the box. Then the father realized everything. Some said when he discouraged; he opened the box and imagined the kisses the girl had put in there. After all, every human has a precious container filled with many love and kisses around us.

Summary of the Graduation Present
A young man was getting ready to graduate from college and told his father he wanted a sports car. He was expecting this present. However, his father gave him a bible. The young man was very angry about this present and left the house. Many years passed, he thought maybe it was the time to consider his father. Tragically, a call telling him his father had die and all of things belongs the young man now. After back his father’s house, he arranged things and saw the bible. He read carefully which his father underlined and sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. The car key dropped out from the bible which he had desired.
