Contrast--Draft Two

Differences between supermarket stores and grocery stores.

Nowadays, supermarket stores have been increasing rapidly, while grocery stores are decreasing. The major differences between supermarket stores and grocery stores are prices, service, and food.

There are many supermarkets and grocery stores in Taiwan now. In order to attract more and more customers, prices in supermarkets are lower and lower such as Carrefour and Geant. They hold a point that lower prices do not refer to the bad quality. On the other hand, prices in grocery stores are higher.

Next, grocery stores provide better service quality than supermarket stores. For example, 7-11 and Hi-Life which clerks are few but they are more friendly and kind. When we need help, they solve our problems quickly. On contrary, though there are many staffs in big supermarket store. They are indifferent and hard to satisfy our needs rapidly. In addition, groceries provide longer service hours than supermarket stores.

There are varieties of foods and products in supermarkets, but there are fewer in grocery stores. Foods in supermarkets are fresher than convenient stores. However, groceries are full of refrigerate foods. We have many choices on food in supermarkets such as fresh lunch and bread. However, there are fewer choices in groceries.

There are many advantages and disadvantages no matter whether you shop in supermarket stores or grocery stores. It depends on your needs. In my opinion, prices are important. Therefore, supermarket stores are better than grocery stores.
